Understanding Themes in Play Therapy AND How to Explain Them to Parents

This in-person workshop will be held at
The Center for Creative Arts and Play Therapy

York, PA 17402

This workshop is for play therapists who want to broaden their knowledge base regarding what play therapy themes are, how to recognize them, and how to explain them to a child’s parents.  Each participant will receive a tool to use in tracking play therapy themes.   Come prepared to participate and have fun! 


OBJECTIVES: 

During this workshop participants will:

1. Discuss what play therapy themes are and why they are important

2.  List contexts that help identify play therapy themes

3. Practice recognizing play therapy themes through demonstrations and video clips

4. Identify how to share with parents what play therapy theme(s) their child is working on and how the parents can support that theme work at home
